SPSS applications in Marketing research
The Department of Management Studies of New Horizon College of Engineering conducted a workshop on January 4 th and 5th January 2019. The topic of the training was ‘SPSS applications in Marketing research’. The workshop was given by Ramnath Iyer. The training was organized for the I semester students.
In the first session he gave a brief introduction about statistical terms which are used in research. His lecture gave clear idea about what is hypothesis and types of hypothesis. His lecture gave clear insight about ANNOVA Chi-square test & other tests as well.
In the second session he spoke about SPSS Software. The IBM SPSS software platform offers advanced statistical analysis, a vast library of machine-learning algorithms, text analysis, open-source extensibility, integration with big data and seamless deployment into applications. Its ease of use; flexibility and scalability make IBM SPSS accessible to users with all skill levels and outfits projects of all sizes and complexity to help you find new opportunities, improve efficiency and minimize risk
At the end of the session he made everyone to install SPSS software -licensed
version.
The session was well received by all the students.
