The Department of Management studies ,NHCE Bangalore organized an panel discussion on union budget-2022. The Panelists for the Day were Dr. Karunamoorthy, Member, Board of Governors and Chairman, Finance Committee, IIM – Tirichirapalli, Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Dean Academics, NHCE and Dr. A R Sainath, Professor, MBA dept, NHCE. The objective of the discussion was to discuss the implications of the Union Budget 2022-2023. The panel will confer upon the vision of the new budget and its impact on our society. The panelists made wonderful presentations on overall review of Union Budget varying sectors of the economy ranging from agriculture to infrastructure. They highlighted on inclusive growth and agreeing with Finance Minister that India will move into Amrith Kaal, the digital currency. They expressed concern over the 30% taxation of cryptocurrency and thought that this move is akin to legitimizing the cryptocurrency. They believed that cryptocurrency is not an ideal asset for currency since it is only digital asset and not backed by any underlying assets such as gold, oil, etc. It was very interactive session with many quires from the students and the panelist with their expertise gave excellent answers.
