SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Training On SPSS

The Department of Management Studies, as part of the Value-Added programme, conducted an SPSS workshop from 22nd-24th December 2025 for first-semester MBA students to build foundational skills in data analysis and research. The programme introduced data entry, management, and interpretation of outputs, enhancing understanding of quantitative analysis and evidence-based decision-making.

Students learned hypothesis formulation, testing, and the application of SPSS in academic projects and management studies. They practiced interpreting outputs from t-tests, ANOVA, and Chi-square, while gaining hands-on skills in data coding, cleaning, and statistical testing.

The workshop strengthened analytical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting skills by analysing real datasets and presenting results meaningfully. It also deepened knowledge of statistical concepts, linking research objectives with appropriate tools, and clarified the use of parametric and non-parametric tests.

Overall, the training highlighted how statistical analysis supports managerial decisions in marketing, HR, finance, and operations.
