MoU Signing with WACIA (Whitefield Area Commerce and Industries Association)

The Department of Management Studies at New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) organized a formal signing ceremony to mark the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NHCE and the Whitefield Area Commerce and Industries Association (WACIA). The MoU was officially signed by Mr. Silvian Noronha, President of WACIA, and Dr. Manjunatha, Principal of NHCE, in the presence of senior academic and industry dignitaries.

Established in 1973, WACIA has been a pivotal force in supporting industries across Whitefield and the greater Bengaluru East region. Serving as a unified platform for industrial stakeholders, WACIA plays a catalytic role in addressing industry concerns by liaising with government departments and local agencies.

This strategic partnership is poised to bring significant benefits to the student community. Under the MoU, WACIA will facilitate expert interactions through Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Seminars, Workshops, and Conferences. It will also support Consultancy Initiatives and Faculty Recruitment, acting as a Knowledge Partner to the institution. Furthermore, WACIA will offer intellectual guidance in an advisory capacity, particularly in fostering entrepreneurial ventures and enhancing both academic and non-academic processes.

The MoU signing was graced by Dr. R.J. Anandhi, Dean – Academics; Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Dean – Quality; Dr. Ranga Reddy; Mr. Raju; and Mr. Jayram. The event was quite successfully coordinated by Dr. Rose Kavitha, Professor and Head of the Department, alongside Dr. Priyameet Kaur Keer, Professor, and the MoU Coordinator, whose efforts were instrumental in bringing this collaboration to fruition.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in bridging the gap between Academia and Industry, paving the way for enriched learning experiences and future-ready graduates.
