SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

The Department of Management Studies organized a six-day workshop on Power BI from 23rd to 28th June 2025 for the 2024–2026 batch. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Gopinath A, a Business Analyst and Technical Trainer, who engaged all three sections in hands-on learning. Throughout the workshop, students explored how Power BI transforms raw data into interactive dashboards and meaningful insights.

The students learned to use Power BI’s intuitive interface for creating visualizations like bar charts, maps, and scatter plots without requiring coding knowledge. The sessions covered integrating data from sources such as Excel, SQL Databases, and Cloud Platforms. Students were introduced to DAX for complex calculations and AI-powered tools for pattern recognition and anomaly detection.

 Advanced features like filters, slicers, drill-downs, and real-time streaming were used to enhance analytical capabilities. The training emphasized data storytelling, collaborative insights, and multi-device accessibility using Power BI Service. Assessments were conducted to evaluate student understanding, and certificates were distributed upon completion.

The workshop provided a strong foundation in data visualization and decision-making with Power BI, equipping students with practical analytical skills.
