Connecting Through Service: Grocery Donation Visit to Nisarga Grama Orphanage

The Department of MBA, New Horizon College of Engineering, organised an Orphanage Visit and Grocery Donation Programme at Nisarga Grama Orphanage, Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru, as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The programme aimed to instil compassion, empathy, social responsibility, and community service values among MBA students.

Faculty members and students actively participated in the outreach activity and contributed essential grocery items for the orphanage. Donations included rice, wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, vegetables, fruits, toiletries, and other household necessities. The visit provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with the children and understand their needs.

Various interactive activities, including games, conversations, and motivational sessions, were organised to create a joyful and memorable experience for the children. The students enthusiastically participated and built meaningful connections with the residents of the orphanage. The initiative also offered practical exposure to the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community engagement.

Through the programme, students developed a greater sense of social awareness, leadership, teamwork, and humanitarian values. The orphanage management appreciated the efforts and generosity demonstrated by the MBA department and students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, group photographs, and reflections on the importance of giving back to society.
