Expert Lecture-Leadership in Today’s Era

The Department of Management Studies organized a session on Leadership in Today’s Era on 15th December 2025. Dr. Niti Mahendra, Founder and Principal of Edify School, served as the distinguished speaker. She delivered her talk with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of practical relevance. Dr. Niti emphasized that modern leadership has shifted from traditional command-and-control models to adaptive, people-centric approaches. She highlighted that many organizational transformations fail due to leadership rigidity rather than technical shortcomings. Agility, she noted, has become a core leadership competency that significantly boosts organizational performance. She stressed the importance of emotional intelligence in enhancing employee engagement and retention. Ethical leadership formed a key part of her talk, focusing on trust and transparency as essential components of effective governance. Dr. Niti also emphasized the growing need for digital fluency among leaders. She explained that leaders who understand technology are better equipped to drive innovation. The session encouraged students to view leadership as a continuous journey of learning and self-development. Inclusivity, values, and social responsibility were framed as central pillars of modern leadership. Dr. Niti reminded the audience that leaders must not only manage change but also humanize it. Her impactful delivery left students with a deeper understanding of building resilient and responsible organizations. The session concluded with strong engagement and valuable insights for future management professionals.
