SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Guest Lecture on - Training on SPSS

The workshop was organized to introduce first-semester MBA students to SPSS as an essential tool for data analysis and management research. The primary focus was to build a strong foundation in statistical analysis by familiarizing students with data entry, data management, and interpretation of outputs using SPSS software. The session aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of quantitative analysis and promote evidence-based decision-making in management studies.

Through the workshop, students gained insights into the importance of statistical analysis in managerial research. They learned the fundamentals of hypothesis formulation, including null and alternative hypotheses, and understood the relevance of hypothesis testing in research. The program provided practical exposure to commonly used statistical tests such as t-test, ANOVA, and Chi-square, along with guidance on interpreting SPSS outputs accurately.

The workshop emphasized hands-on learning, enabling students to develop practical skills in data coding, cleaning, and analysis using real datasets. It enhanced their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in using statistical software. Additionally, students strengthened their research and reporting skills by learning to present statistical findings in a structured and meaningful manner. Overall, the workshop enriched students’ knowledge of statistical concepts and highlighted the role of data-driven analysis in managerial decision-making across various business domains.
