The Department of Management Studies organized a seminar on February 12, 2025, featuring Mr. Salman Quraishi, Head of Sales at Zerodha, to provide a comprehensive understanding of personal finance. The seminar covered fundamental principles such as budgeting, saving, debt management, and setting financial goals. Key topics included equity investments, initial public offerings, stocks, and mutual funds, emphasizing long-term wealth accumulation. Beginners were introduced to various investment avenues, including cryptocurrency, with a focus on risk-return profiles. The importance of insurance in financial planning was highlighted, covering term and medical insurance. The session also explored mutual funds, offering insights into diversification and portfolio management.
