INDUSTRIAL VISIT

On July 4^th, 2025, MBA IV Semester students from the Department of Management Studies visited Volvo CE India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore. Volvo CE is a renowned manufacturer of construction machinery known for quality, performance, and safety. It also serves as the Official Track Building Partner for the FIA World Rallycross Championship, showcasing its engineering prowess.

During the visit, students met Mr. Laxman, Head of Production, and Mr. Raghu, Lead Operations. They were briefed on key operational methodologies such as 5S, Kaiben, Kaizen, and Six Sigma. These approaches highlighted how precision, quality improvement, and waste reduction are achieved in manufacturing. Students were also introduced to cutting-edge technology that enhances production efficiency. A tour of the warehouse provided practical insights into inventory management and logistics.

The visit offered an immersive learning experience into real-world operations and lean practices. Overall, the event enriched students’ understanding of supply chain and production strategies in a global industrial setting.
