Outreach Programme - General Health Check-up Camp at Chemmasandra Village

The Department of Management Studies, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru, successfully organised a Skill Development and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Outreach Programme at the Government School, Chemmasandra Village. The initiative aimed to promote holistic development among school children through education, health awareness, skill enhancement, and community engagement.

Around 40 MBA student volunteers actively participated in planning and conducting the programme for students from Classes I to VIII. The event created an engaging learning environment while strengthening the institution’s commitment to social responsibility. A General Health Check-up Camp was organised in collaboration with MVJ Hospital, benefiting both school children and villagers.

Medical professionals conducted health screenings and created awareness about preventive healthcare practices. Various sports and recreational activities were conducted to encourage teamwork, discipline, leadership, and physical fitness among children. A Passion Development Activity inspired students to explore their interests, creativity, and communication skills.

The programme also included a Paper Bag Making Workshop that promoted creativity, practical learning, and environmental sustainability. Children learned the importance of reducing plastic usage through hands-on participation in eco-friendly activities. To appreciate and motivate the students, thoughtful gifts were distributed to all participants.

The outreach programme was a memorable success, fostering community engagement and nurturing socially responsible future leaders.
