SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Unique Domain Workshop -Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

The Department of Management Studies organised a workshop on 13th April 2026, led by Mr. Umesh D. Strategist, Ex-Alstom and Ex-BHEL, where experts guided students on various analytics tools.

Workshop analytics transforms collected data into meaningful insights, helping organisers measure participant engagement, satisfaction, and learning outcomes. It identifies strengths and weaknesses while supporting evidence-based decisions to improve future sessions.

Four key types of analytics are used: descriptive (what happened), diagnostic (why it happened), predictive (forecasting trends), and prescriptive (recommendations for improvement). These are measured through metrics covering participation, engagement, performance, and feedback.

Data is gathered via registration forms, surveys, real-time polls, attendance tracking, and Learning Management Systems. Tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau then help visualise and interpret this data effectively.

While analytics greatly enhances training quality and resource allocation, challenges remain — including incomplete data, low feedback response rates, and privacy concerns. To overcome these, organisers are encouraged to use real-time tools, conduct pre- and post-assessments, and maintain strong ethical standards.

Ultimately, analytics is an indispensable part of modern workshops, enabling organisations to continuously refine their programmes and deliver better learning experiences.
