SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Unique Domain Workshop -Finance Workshop
As part of the Unique Domain Workshop Week – Day 1, a Finance Workshop was successfully conducted at New Horizon College of Engineering in collaboration with the Karnataka Management Association (KMA) on 7th April 2026, from 09:30 AM to 04:30 PM at Classroom 308. The session was led by Ms. Rajitha Prakash, who brought valuable industry experience, including insights from her association with Deutsche Bank, to enrich students’ learning.
The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world financial practices, while enhancing students’ analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. It also sought to introduce students to current trends in the finance and banking sectors.
Key topics covered included financial planning and management, investment strategies, risk analysis, the role of financial institutions, and practical case studies from the banking and corporate finance sectors. The session was highly interactive, featuring discussions, Q&A rounds, case-based activities, and career guidance, all of which encouraged active student participation.
The workshop yielded strong outcomes — students gained practical financial knowledge, improved industry awareness, and greater confidence in applying concepts to real-world situations. It also opened their eyes to diverse career opportunities in finance and banking.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with students appreciating the industry-oriented approach and use of real-world examples. Some suggested incorporating more hands-on exercises and simulations in future sessions.
Overall, the Finance Workshop proved to be an engaging, informative, and career-enriching experience for all participants.
