SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Unique Domain Workshop - Human Resource

As part of the Unique Domain Workshop Week – Day 2, a Human Resource Management Workshop was successfully conducted at New Horizon College of Engineering in collaboration with the Karnataka Management Association (KMA) on 8th April 2026, from 09:30 AM to 04:30 PM at Classroom 308. The session was led by Ms. Dhriti Mahajan, Senior Manager – HRBP at Hakimo, who brought rich professional expertise and real-world HR experience to make the session both informative and industry-relevant.

The workshop aimed to equip students with a strong understanding of modern HR practices, recruitment processes, employee engagement, and organisational behaviour, while also enhancing their interpersonal and communication skills.

Key topics covered included the recruitment and selection process, employee engagement and motivation, performance management systems, and workplace culture and organisational behaviour. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions, raising queries, and engaging with practical HR scenarios shared by the resource person.

The workshop delivered meaningful outcomes — students gained a deeper understanding of HR concepts through real-world examples, improved their communication skills, and developed greater awareness of career opportunities in Human Resource Management. It also strengthened their ability to navigate workplace challenges and organisational dynamics.

Feedback from participants was positive, with students appreciating the practical, corporate-oriented approach of the session. Many suggested incorporating group activities, role plays, and simulations in future workshops to further enrich the learning experience.

Overall, the HRM Workshop proved to be a highly valuable and insightful experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional HR practice.
